There’s nothing worse than discovering that the ice cream you left in the freezer has been eaten. To keep your ice cream safe from your loved ones, Ben & Jerry’s has brilliantly created a gadget that lets you lock and secure your ice cream pints.Called the ‘Euphori-Lock’, the combination lock attaches directly on to your Ben & Jerry’s pint, and requires a correct code to open. But for those desperate enough to get their hands on the ice cream that’s not theirs, there’s always the scissors to cut open the cardboard box…Euphori-Lock was thought up by a fan, and will be available soon.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

By all accounts, Annie Clark, 7, a first-grader at Wilson Christian Academy in West Mifflin, is a hard-working and determined student who makes a point of learning from her mistakes and strives for perfection in her work.So on the surface, it should come as no surprise that she won a national handwriting award from the Zaner-Bloser language arts and reading company. That is, of course, if you didn’t know that she was born with no hands.[…] Her parents, Tom and Mary Ellen Clark, said it’s the same method Annie uses to feed and dress herself, cut with scissors and even paint her toenails.“Annie has always been very, very determined, very self-sufficient in dressing herself and feeding herself,” Mr. Clark said. “She can ride a bike. She swims. She is just determined that there’s nothing she can’t do.”Her father said she also types on a keyboard and uses an iPod Touch with no difficulties. […]

El Ateneo in Buenos Aires – A bookstore to end all bookstores

In Buenos Aires, in the former Grand Theatre opened a unique, one of a kind Bookstore. This theatre was opened in may 1919, then served as a cinema in the second half of the 1920 ‘s. In 2000 studio Grupo Ilhsa transformed the space into a bookstore named El Ateneo Grand Splendid, which is now the flagship, and takes more than a million visitors a year. (via Freeyork)
